Caleb Crosby Threshing Barn.  The threshing machine inside this 100-year-old barn was once generated by oxen. When the Cherokee Dam was being built, the barn was moved to the state park from its original location on the Holston River because the land it was on would be flooded. The barn remained there dismantled for 34 years and was reconstructed in 1978.   Rice Grist Mill.  Visitors will learn of the intriging history of this 18th century mill which still operates as a corn mill in the summers. The park offers tours, and picnics are welcome on the grounds.   Lenoir Museum.  The Lenoir Museum houses early American displays of thousands of items collected over 60 years by Will G. Lenoir. The Lenoir Museum Cultural Complex houses an 18th Century Gristmill and Threshing barn. Exhibits also include Appalachian artifacts, a pre-dam pictorial account of the area submerged by the lake. Tours are available at request.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has about 2,115 miles of streams within its boundaries, and protects one of the last wild trout habitats in the eastern United States. The park offers a wide variety of angling experiences from remote, headwater trout streams to large, coolwater smallmouth bass streams. Most streams remain at or near their carrying capacity of fish and offer a great opportunity to catch these species throughout the year.
